Niwel Tsumbu with Éamonn Cagney

Éamonn has worked with Congolese virtuoso guitarist since 2005, making many recordings and releases together, performing extensively nationally and internationally.

The duo release their new album “The Art of the Duo” in 2021.

Young Conall of Howth Commission 2019

Éamonn was 2019 Musician–in-Residence with Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown Arts office, managed by Music Network, funded by the Arts Council. He composed and performed a music and narrative work “Young Conall of Howth” based on a little known Irish folktale “Conall Óg Ó Bhinn Éadair”, collected by the Irish Folklore commission in 1936, from Muiris Connor in the Co. Kerry gaeltacht. He performed with keyboardist Darragh O’Kelly and guitarist Niwel Tsumbu.

Camilla Griehsel : mamasongue

Éamonn is percussionist with singer Camilla Griehsel’s Mamasongue project, whose music flows from Swedish and contemporary songwriting to Central African chant and drumming, by way of Mexican, South American and Spanish songs.

Louis César Ewande Trio

Éamonn has worked with French Djembe master and teacher Louis César Ewande since 2017. Completing the Louis César Ewande Trio is Martin Schaerer.
